The fatty acid derivatives that make up the structol lubricant are multifunctional, enabling most rubber formulations to be processed easily and allowing for rapid production. The addition of the lubricant in the early stages of the mixing process promotes filler dispersion, while later addition improves the flow of the compound and metal release (release from the mold).
